Destiny Bowler
Tele-Suppport Worker
Hi there, my name is Destiny and I am delighted to work as a Tele-Support Worker at Social Call Services. The loneliness epidemic in the UK has claimed multiple lives and is fast and ever-growing, with a 2016 study by The-Co-op and British Red Cross concluding over 9 million adults are always or often lonely. Whether reasons vary ranging from the COVID pandemic, disability, mental health problems or increasingly digitalized lives, loneliness increases fatality by 26%, with disconnected communities currently costing the British economy £32 billion annually. Not only does Social Call Services’ objectives align with my aspiration of becoming an agent of change, through its holistic person-centred approach, but its positive work culture has enabled me to develop skills transferable to my future psychology degree. In my spare time, I love listening to music from all genres, watching films, reading, travelling, and learning more about History and Sociology. Please don’t be shy, feel free to contact us at Social Call Services, we look very forward to hearing from you!
